| Winter weather advisory issued for Friday in parts of Alabama The National Weather Service thinks it's possible and has issued winter weather advisories for central and south Alabama that will go into effect early Friday. The central Alabama winter weather advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, according to the weather service in Birmingham.
