| Officials make arrest in fatal hit-and-run of Choctaw County man Alabama State Troopers have made an arrest in the death of 68-year-old Robert Ellis Thompson of Choctaw County. According to officials, on Friday, December 22, Thompson was critically injured when he was struck by a vehicle on Choctaw County 33, approximately two miles north of Pennington.
